Job summary

RTÉ, Ireland's national public-service media organisation, seeks a Production Accountant in Entertainment & Music to join the Finance team on a fixed-term full-time contract. You will provide financial support, produce cost reports and budgets for programme productions, and ensure costs are charged to the correct programme.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant status with experience in financial or management accounting (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
• Excellent PC skills and proficient in Microsoft Office, esp. Excel.
• Experience with accounting packages and systems.
• Ability to work at both strategic and operational levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills, proactive and team-oriented.
• Desirable but not essential: previous programme production experience.

Responsibilities

• Provision of sound financial support and advice on programme production matters.
• Producing financial cost reports with commentaries and additional reports to manage programme finances.
• Ensuring all programme costs are correctly charged to the programme, including monthly sign-off on total programme costs.
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts for individual programmes.
• Valuation of programme stock for balance sheet purposes.
• Pursuing and implementing value-for-money projects.
