Job summary

Manpower Ireland is recruiting Product Builders for Zimmer Biomet in Oranmore, Galway. The role involves CNC machining, polishing, and inspection on a fixed day shift (Mon-Wed) from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

You will participate in CNC operations, NDT inspection, robotic finishing, and cosmetic inspection on the production floor. Requirements include Leaving Certificate or equivalent, fluent English, and a preference for experience with metal polishing and CNC equipment.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent required.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• 1+ year polishing or buffing metals is desirable but not essential.
• Experience operating CNC equipment preferred.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Working with precision measuring equipment (micrometers & calipers).
• Experience of visual inspection to detect cosmetic irregularities.
• Ability to work in a team/cellular environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell activities including polishing, deburring, cutting and finishing metals.
• Operate CNC equipment for production of products.
• Identify cosmetic irregularities accurately.
• Provide on-the-job training to less qualified personnel.
• Perform cleaning operations and NDT activities as required.
• Operate robotic equipment for production of products.
• Maintain equipment in the department and communicate defects to the team.

We are currently hiring for the following shifts:
Fixed Days
Production Floor - 7.00am -5.00pm
Monday – Wednesday
Clean & Pack - 7.00am -5.00pm
Monday – Wednesday
In this role you will be operating within the production floor, performing the following activities: CNC Machining, NDT Inspection, Robotic Finishing, and Cosmetic Inspection.
Responsibilities

• Perform cell activities including polishing, deburring, cutting, straightening metal, finishing, cleaning.
• Operation of CNC equipment for the production of products.
• Accurately identifies cosmetic irregularities.
• Exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training of less qualified personnel.
• Correctly performs all steps of cleaning operation.
• Performs all NDT Activities
• Perform final buff for parts requiring additional work after robots finish.
• Operation of Robotic equipment for the production of products.
• Change belts and wheel as necessary for a proper finish.
• Visual inspection of parts and paperwork.
• Maintains all equipment in the department as it is required.
• Communicates with other Team members and engineers concerning product defects.
• Performs all production POD activities as per training provided.
• Operates as part of a team to achieve productivity Targets.

Requirements for the role:

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent required.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• 1+ experience polishing or buffing a variety of metals is desirable but not essential.
• Experience operating CNC- CNC-controlled equipment preferred.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Working with precision measuring equipment, including micrometersand calipers.
• Experience of visual inspection to detect cosmetic irregularities in metal.
• Inspection of paperwork; attention to detail.
• Working in team/cellular environment.
