Job summary

CREGG are looking for Machine Operatives for full time, long term work in Oranmore, Co. Galway. You will operate and set up workshop tools, fabricate components, and ensure quality.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in engineering, good hand-eye coordination, and be comfortable with health and safety standards. The role offers 43 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 07:00–17:00, with a 16.63€ per hour rate and potential for permanent employment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble steel components according to technical drawings.
• Inspect finished components for accuracy and defect-free quality.
• Perform daily maintenance on machinery and adhere to health and safety rules.
• Load/unload materials using overhead cranes or hoists and document production logs.

CREGG are looking for Machine Operatives, for full time, long term work in Oranmore, Co. Galway.

Our client is a metal manufacturing company, looking to add full time staff members to their production team.

We are looking for candidates who are mechanical minded, with passion for working with tools/machines, and are good at problem solving.

• Machine Operation:Operate and set up workshop tools such as press brakes, guillotines, plasma cutters, and saws.
• Production Work:Fabricate and assemble steel components according to technical drawings.
• Quality Control:Inspect finished components for accuracy, ensuring measurements meet specifications, and that products are free of defects.
• Maintenance & Safety:Perform daily maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot minor faults, and adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
• Material Handling:Load and unload raw materials and finished products using overhead cranes or hoists.
• Documentation:Complete production logs and quality reports, often using computer systems.

Hours of work

• 43 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 – 17:00 (early finish on Friday)

Rate of Pay

• €16.63 per hour

Job requirements – Machine Operative
