Job summary

Manpower Group Ireland Ltd is recruiting Product Builders for Zimmer Biomet in Oranmore, Co. Galway. Roles include Fixed Day or Fixed Night shifts on the production floor with duties from polishing to CNC operation.

Candidates should be fluent in English, with a Leaving Certificate or equivalent and be capable of working in a team. Shift options include day and night blocks with weekend coverage; comprehensive training, competitive hourly rates, and a strong rewards program are provided.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent required.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• 1+ year experience polishing or buffing metals desirable.
• Experience operating CNC equipment preferred.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Working with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers).
• Experience in visual inspection to detect cosmetic irregularities in metal.
• Working in a team/cellular environment.

Responsibilities

• Polish and buff metal parts to spec.
• Operate CNC equipment for production of products.
• Identify cosmetic irregularities on parts.
• Provide on-the-job training to less qualified personnel.
• Perform cleaning operations and follow procedures.
• Carry out NDT activities as required.
• Perform final buff for parts after robotic finishing.
• Operate robotic equipment used in production.
• Change belts and wheels to achieve proper finish.
• Visually inspect parts and complete paperwork.
• Maintain department equipment and hygiene.
• Communicate defects and issues with team and engineers.
• Participate in all POD production activities as trained.
• Work as part of a team to achieve productivity targets.

Fixed Days Production Floor - 7.00am - 7.00pm Week 1 Monday, Tuesday Days Friday, Saturday Sunday Days Week 2 Wednesday Thursday – Days

Weekend Nights Production Floor - 7.00pm - 7.00am Week 1 Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2 Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Front End Nights Production Floor - 7.00pm - 7.00am Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Week 2 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

• Perform cell activities including polishing, deburring, cutting, straightening metal, finishing, cleaning.
• Operation of CNC equipment for the production of products.
• Accurately identifies cosmetic irregularities.
• Exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training of less qualified personnel.
• Correctly performs all steps of cleaning operation.
• Performs all NDT Activities
• Perform final buff for parts requiring additional work after robots finish.
• Operation of Robotic equipment for the production of products.
• Change belts and wheel as necessary for a proper finish.
• Visual inspection of parts and paperwork.
• Maintains all equipment in the department as it is required.
• Communicates with other Team members and engineers concerning product defects.
• Performs all production POD activities as per training provided.
• Operates as part of a team to achieve productivity Targets.

Requirements for the role:

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent required.

• Experience operating CNC- CNC-controlled equipment preferred.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Working with precision measuring equipment, including micrometersand calipers.
• Experience of visual inspection to detect cosmetic irregularities in metal.
• Inspection of paperwork; attention to detail.
• Working in team/cellular environment.
