Job summary

Lumen Search Ltd. is seeking a Procurement Lead in Dublin to steer major data centre procurement packages, representing the project owner in supplier appointments.

The role suits someone with substantial procurement experience on large construction or engineering projects, able to negotiate with senior commercial and technical teams and to travel to project sites as needed. Hybrid working is offered with some site visits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Decide how and when key project packages should go to market.
• Work with engineering and project teams to turn technical requirements into clear tender scopes.
• Lead bidder engagement, tender reviews and commercial negotiations.
• Assess proposals against price, capability, delivery dates and contract terms.
• Present supplier recommendations to the client and take packages through to award.
• Identify potential gaps in scope, limited supplier capacity and long lead items early enough to address them.
• Keep the project team informed of procurement progress and decisions.

Job description

A Dublin-based consultancy is hiring a Procurement Lead to work on major data centre projects. You’ll represent the project owner when appointing construction teams, engineering contractors, consultants and specialist suppliers.

The role will suit someone who has managed substantial procurement packages for a main contractor or engineering contractor and is comfortable making recommendations directly to senior project stakeholders. Alongside the Dublin office, there will be occasional travel to project sites.

What you’ll be doing

What we’re looking for

• Strong procurement experience on large construction or engineering projects.
• A background with a main contractor, engineering contractor or MEP contractor.
• Experience on data centres, large pharmaceutical facilities or other technically demanding projects.
• A track record of managing tenders and negotiating contractor or supplier appointments.
• The confidence to work with senior commercial, project and technical teams.

A relevant degree or professional qualification would be useful, but practical experience leading complex procurement is the priority.

Package: €110,000 to €120,000, hybrid working and occasional project site visits.
