Job summary

Archer Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a procurement professional to join a major €30M project in Ireland. The role offers hybrid working with two days on-site and ownership from mobilisation through delivery.

You will lead sourcing, tendering and supplier negotiations, building a supply chain to support the project and collaborating with project and commercial teams to achieve best commercial outcomes. This is a high-impact role with end-to-end responsibility, including building the procurement

Qualifications

• Proven procurement experience with hands-on sourcing and negotiations.
• Experience leading RFQs/RFPs and working with suppliers and project teams.
• Strong commercial acumen; CIPS qualification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Set procurement strategy aligned to project milestones and delivery requirements.
• Lead end-to-end tendering: RFQs/RFPs, supplier engagement, evaluation and award.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to secure best commercial outcomes.
• Develop a robust supplier base and manage relationships to support delivery.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and senior stakeholders from mobilisation to delivery.

This is your chance to join a major €30M project right at the beginning and take ownership of procurement from day one. Working alongside the Project and Commercial teams, you’ll help mould the project and put the supply chain in place to support successful delivery.

You won’t be stepping into an established procurement function and simply maintaining what’s already there. You’ll be building it, making decisions and seeing the impact of your work as the project moves from mobilisation through to delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Set the Procurement Strategy: Identify sourcing requirements and build a procurement timeline aligned to project milestones and delivery requirements.
• Own End-to-End Tendering: Run RFQs and RFPs from initial scope and supplier engagement through evaluation, negotiation and award.
• Drive Commercial Value: Source and benchmark competitive quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and put robust contracts in place.
• Build the Supply Base: Develop strong, responsive supplier and subcontractor relationships that support project delivery.
• Lead Procurement Through Mobilisation: Work closely with the Project Manager and wider team to keep procurement moving, resolve issues and ensure a smooth handover to the wider procurement function.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven Procurement Experience: Established background in procurement, buying or contracts, with hands-on sourcing and negotiation experience.
• Strong Senior Stakeholder Management: Experienced in leading end-to-end RFQs/RFPs and working confidently with suppliers, project teams and senior/C-suite stakeholders.
• Self-starting & Commercially Sharp: Able to make decisions, manage priorities and hit the ground running. CIPS an advantage.
