Job summary

Production Equipment Europe in Galway is hiring a Purchasing Administrator to join our busy Purchasing Team. You will help ensure smooth communication between the Purchasing Department and internal/external stakeholders while handling procurement processes.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in purchasing or logistics, a degree in a related field if possible, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in purchasing or logistics preferred.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or business preferable.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring purchase orders are processed and expedited within required time frames.
• Confirming orders and routing relevant information to the correct Team.
• Ensuring timely follow up on open and overdue purchase orders.
• Managing and reducing excess inventory levels.
• Reviewing returns and damaged goods.
• Working to agreed time scales and deadlines.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors.
• Monitor the supply performance of vendors.
• Participation in ad hoc projects from a Purchasing perspective.
