Production Equipment Europe is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,000 products to customers across Europe. We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to work within our team based in Galway.

The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with managers and cross functional teams within the organisation to help drive cost savings and maximise business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing of product and global procurement
• Negotiate pricing, deals, contracts and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Identify, evaluate, and capitalise on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs, build on current product offering, and create additional value for customer base
• Conduct regular market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvements
• Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers to ensure high quality & cost effective solutions
• Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop business and maximise opportunities
• Manage tender enquiries and negotiation of contracts
• Work as part of a dynamic and experienced team to help achieve company goals

Skills & Experience

• Qualification or relevant industry related experience, background in supply chain or sourcing preferred
• Proven track record of supplier evaluation, negotiation & selection
• Strong organisational & administration skills
• Ability to absorb technical information of products
• Excellent negotiation and decision making skills
• Good computer skills (MS Office), SAP ERP experience highly desirable
• Flexible & Pro-active attitude with an ability to think strategically
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as team member
• Ability to work to agreed time scales and deadlines
