We are now recruiting for a Process Specialist - Product Master Data for a permanent position based in our Dublin or Finland Office.<\/p>
JOB PURPOSE<\/h3>
The Process and Information Specialist for Product Master Data is an expert in the end-to-end processes governing how product master data is created, maintained, governed, and consumed across Sandvik. The role sits within the process team and exists to ensure that product master data definitions, structures, and rules are fit for purpose - enabling reliable execution of business processes such as procurement, manufacturing, sales, and logistics. The specialist supports process design, drives data quality, and acts as a subject matter expert connecting data governance with business outcomes.<\/p>
STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/h3>
- Contributes to the design and ongoing improvement of product master data processes, ensuring alignment with Sandvik's E2E process model and the data requirements of dependent processes (e.g. Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Plan to Fulfil).<\/li>
- Supports the definition and governance of product master data standards, including attribute rules, classification frameworks, and data ownership principles across divisions and sales areas.<\/li>
- Provides input into the prioritisation of change requests, continuous improvement initiatives, and solution designs, ensuring that business impact and data integrity are taken into account.<\/li>
- Contributes to the development of process performance indicators for product master data, including data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness metrics.<\/li>
- Supports the adoption of harmonised product master data processes across the organisation, identifying gaps and escalating systemic issues to process owners<\/li>
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h3>
- Designs, documents, and maintains process flows, work instructions, and data governance artefacts related to product master data creation and maintenance<\/li>
- Reviews incoming continuous improvement requests related to product master data, provides assessment of impact, and recommends prioritisation.<\/li>
- Coaches and supports Division and Sales Area Process Owners, local Process and Information Specialists, and super users on product master data topics.<\/li>
- Advises super users and business stakeholders on data-related questions, including attribute definitions, classification rules, and system behaviour in SAP or equivalent ERP/MDM platforms.<\/li>
- Monitors product master data quality and process adherence, analyses root causes of data failures or process deviations, and supports corrective action.<\/li>
- Participates in projects and solution design activities requiring product master data expertise, including system implementations, migrations, and integrations.<\/li>
- Ensures that master data is accurate and maintained to a standard that allows related business processes to execute without failure.<\/li>
- Other adhoc duties as requested by your manager.<\/li>
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE<\/h3>
- Solid understanding of product master data concepts, including material master structures, classification, units of measure, product hierarchies, and lifecycle management<\/li>
- Experience working with ERP systems - SAP S/4HANA preferred - with practical knowledge of how product master data supports procurement, manufacturing, sales, and logistics processes<\/li>
- Familiarity with master data governance principles, including data ownership models, attribute stewardship, and change control processes<\/li>
- Experience in process documentation and design, including the ability to map current and future state processes and produce clear work instructions<\/li>
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective measures.<\/li>
- Effective communicator and collaborator, capable of engaging stakeholders across divisions, functions, and geographies in a decentralised organisation<\/li>
- Experience in coaching or training non-specialist colleagues on data and process topics is an advantage.<\/li>
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) concepts or experience with PLM/ERP integration is an advantage.<\/li>
