Dell Technologies Cork is seeking a Software Principal Engineer to architect, design, and develop advanced software systems for manufacturing and AI-ready platforms.

You will lead across the full SDLC within an Agile team, collaborating closely with product and manufacturing groups to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Essential experience includes strong software fundamentals, 5+ years in designing complex systems, and a proven ability to mentor peers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, coding, and debugging complex, scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals across languages, OS and system-level concepts.
• Exposure to multiple programming languages, operating systems, databases, tools, and hardware platforms.
• Understanding of system, network, OS, and application-level interactions.
• Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Work in a highly motivated Agile development team.
• Partner with Dell product and manufacturing teams to gain deep insights.
• Design software solutions that are scalable, secure, and resilient.
• Learn, apply, and shape Agentic AI technologies to accelerate workflows.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
