Job summary

McKesson is seeking a principal leader to define the strategic direction for Salesforce platforms and ensure governance and executable multi-year delivery. This role combines deep Salesforce architecture credibility with portfolio delivery, vendor, financial and stakeholder leadership.

Responsibilities include setting enterprise architecture vision, leading delivery across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and integration platforms, and translating business strategy into actionable roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 13+ years in enterprise technology, architecture or large-scale platform delivery with Salesforce leadership experience.
• Demonstrated depth across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, data, security and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proven leadership of multi-year transformation portfolios with executive stakeholders and multiple delivery partners.
• Experience with portfolio governance, SOW oversight, vendor management and financial stewardship.

Role Purpose:

Define the strategic direction for McKesson Salesforce platforms and ensure that strategy is converted into governed, executable, multi-year delivery. This is not a pure program manager role. It requires deep Salesforce architecture credibility combined with portfolio delivery, vendor, financial and stakeholder leadership.

What You Will Do:

• Set enterprise Salesforce architecture vision, principles, roadmaps and investment priorities across commercial and customer engagement capabilities.
• Lead architecture and delivery across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, integration platforms, data, AI, automation and digital experiences.
• Translate business strategy into target-state architecture, sequenced transformation roadmaps and executable delivery plans.
• Govern major solution decisions through architecture review, design authority, security and risk processes.
• Own portfolio delivery health, dependencies, risks, outcomes and executive communications across multiple initiatives.
• Provide oversight for statements of work, vendor performance, delivery commitments, financial stewardship and value realization.
• Partner with business, product, security, data, integration and engineering leaders to make transparent trade‑off decisions.
• Build and mentor a strong architecture and engineering community with reusable standards and clear accountability.

First Six-Month Priorities:

• Confirm the current-state portfolio, strategic outcomes, critical risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Establish a prioritized Salesforce transformation roadmap with decision rights, governance forums and measurable outcomes.
• Assess delivery model, vendor commitments, SOW alignment, financial controls and major cross-program dependencies.
• Strengthen architecture standards for security, integration, data, extensibility, AI and platform lifecycle management.
• Create an executive operating rhythm for decisions, risks, delivery health and value realization.

Required Qualifications:

• 13+ years in enterprise technology, architecture or large-scale platform delivery, including substantial Salesforce leadership experience.
• Demonstrated architecture depth across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, data, security, APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proven leadership of complex, multi-year transformation portfolios with executive stakeholders and multiple delivery partners.
• Experience with portfolio governance, program delivery, vendor management, SOW oversight, financial stewardship and delivery accountability.
• Ability to communicate architecture choices, delivery trade‑offs, risk and investment recommendations to executive and technical audiences.
• Track record of building alignment across business, technology, data, security, operations and partner teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Salesforce Application Architect and System Architect credentials; advanced architect credentials are valued when supported by relevant experience.
• Experience in regulated, healthcare or other high-compliance enterprise environments.
• Experience with MuleSoft, enterprise data platforms, AI/agent capabilities, DevOps, observability and platform operating models.
• Experience leading architecture review boards, design authorities or enterprise governance forums.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
