Job summary

KKR in Dublin is seeking a Principal Engineer to define the technical vision for core parts of our stack and to shape how data, analytics, and applications combine to drive business value. You will join a growing Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence focusing on scalable, secure solutions for investment technology, with hands-on leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with finance teams.

Candidates should have 12+ years, cloud experience, and strong OO languages; AWS, Python, React,

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing and scaling cloud-based platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong OO language experience (Python/Java/C++).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Ability to mentor engineers.
• Excellent communication and leadership.
• Interest in finance/investment technology.
• Strong ownership and delivery in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture for cloud-native systems.
• Establish engineering design, testing, observability, and CI/CD standards.
• Identify and implement AI-driven tooling to improve efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and grow technical depth.
