Job summary

Leap29 in Dublin is seeking an Principal / Associate Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for data centres and mission critical infrastructure. You will design resilient HV/LV power systems, UPS, generator backups, and switchgear for global hyperscale clients.

You'll oversee high reliability power distribution, perform electrical calculations, fault analysis, and protection coordination, while coordinating with MEP teams and engaging with major clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• Experience in data centres or critical power systems.
• Proficient in electrical calculation methods and protective coordination.
• Knowledge of Irish/European/International electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Design high reliability HV/LV power distribution networks, standby power, and UPS systems.
• Perform complex electrical calculations, fault analysis, cable sizing, and protection coordination.
• Oversee design deliverables, ensure quality assurance, and collaborate across MEP disciplines.
• Engage with major clients and key project stakeholders.
