Job summary

Laserfiche is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to modernize legacy Microsoft-based systems, architect scalable AWS-native cloud infrastructure, and lead next‑gen platform design. You will embed AI/ML into development workflows and product capabilities, mentoring teams and setting engineering excellence standards.

You will drive migration to Linux, design cloud-native services, and own CI/CD pipelines, ensuring robust, data‑driven software delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
10+ years’ experience in software engineering.
Experience migrating from Windows to Linux environments.
Experience decomposing monolithic applications into cloud architectures.
Strong background in C# / .NET (including .NET Core/ .NET 6+).
Deep experience with AWS services.
Proven track record of building and running production systems.
Ability to mentor teams and drive engineering standards.
Experience with AI tools in development workflows and at least one AI-powered feature.

Responsibilities

Lead platform modernization initiatives.
Migrate .NET / Windows-based systems to Linux and AWS.
Re-architect legacy applications into cloud-native services.
Shift from tightly coupled to modular, scalable architecture.
Design and operate production systems using AWS services (EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/Aurora).
Build infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies (TFS/AzureDevOps).
Apply AI to write, design, and accelerate software development.
Integrate AI-driven features such as RAG and semantic search into the product.
