Job summary

Laserfiche is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to modernize legacy Microsoft-based systems, architect scalable AWS-native cloud infrastructure, and lead next‑gen platform design. You will embed AI/ML into development workflows and product capabilities, mentoring teams and setting engineering excellence standards.

You will drive migration to Linux, design cloud-native services, and own CI/CD pipelines, ensuring robust, data‑driven software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years’ experience in software engineering.
• Experience migrating from Windows to Linux environments.
• Experience decomposing monolithic applications into cloud architectures.
• Strong background in C# / .NET (including .NET Core/ .NET 6+).
• Deep experience with AWS services.
• Proven track record of building and running production systems.
• Ability to mentor teams and drive engineering standards.
• Experience with AI tools in development workflows and at least one AI-powered feature.

• Agentic systems that take actions across services

• Structured data, unstructured content, AI reasoning, deterministic workflows

• Content & Workflow Systems


• Work with document/content management systems


• Build workflow-driven pipelines (approval, routing, automation)

About You - Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree


• 10+ years’ experience in software engineering


• Experience migrating from Windows to Linux Environments


• Experience decomposing monolithic applications into cloud architecture


• Strong background in:




• C# / .NET (including modernization to .NET Core/.NET 6+)


• Backend systems and API design




• Deep experience with AWS services (not just exposure)


• Experience building and running production systems


• Strong understanding of observability, scaling, resilience

• Have built at least one real AI-powered feature or system


• Understand concepts like:




• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)


• Embeddings and vector search


• Prompt design and system orchestration
