Job summary

RED, a member company of Tractebel, is seeking a Power Systems Engineer for Dublin or Cork. You will handle MV/HV topology, sub-station design, and protection schemes for data centres, industrial, and pharma projects, with travel to client sites as needed.

The role requires 4–5 years’ experience, English fluency, and a driving licence; a chartered status is advantageous. Hybrid working is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years’ experience as a power systems engineer.
• Chartership is advantageous.
• Full Irish driving licence required.
• Fluent English and eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in MV topology design (equipment selection, protection, HV/MV transformer sizing).
• Be proficient in HV topology design (sub-station design, switchgear, earthing).
• Design and create underground MV/HV routes and cable pits.
• Client liaison, deliver to budgets and schedules, QA/QC on projects.
• Travel to client/project locations for meetings and surveys.
• Liaise with PMs on new projects and scopes.
