Job summary

Doyle Shipping Group in Ireland is seeking a Traffic Management Operative to join the Rosslare Port facilities management team. You will help direct motorists, receive and check trucks, and work as part of a team to support ship schedules in a 24/7 operation.

The role requires safety awareness, strong communication, and the ability to handle pressure and the public; training is provided on start date, with shifts including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have previous Traffic Management experience (advantage).
• Ability to receive and check trucks, highlight anomalies and ensure secure, correct and timely processes per health and safety guidelines.
• Responsible for safety of road users and pedestrians on the compound; able to deal with the public in a friendly and effective manner.
• Training will be provided on commencement to ensure duties are carried out safely on the compound.
• Perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as required by the company.

Responsibilities

• Direct motorists to parking areas or spaces using hand signals or flashlights.
• Receive and check trucks, highlight anomalies and ensure secure, timely processes.
• Ensure safety of road users and pedestrians on the compound.
• Work as part of a team at Rosslare Port.
