Job summary

Principle is hiring a Platform Engineer in Dublin 2 to build and run Kubernetes at scale, on-prem and in the public cloud. If you love the GitOps way of working - everything as code, reviewed, and shipped through pipelines - this is your kind of team.

You will patch and upgrade Kubernetes infrastructure, create pipelines for testing and shipping infrastructure-as-code, and improve monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 3+ years running Kubernetes in production
• 5+ years deep Linux experience
• Hands-on experience with Flux/Argo, Terraform, Helm
• Software development skills in Golang or Python

Responsibilities

• Patching and upgrading Kubernetes infrastructure, both on-prem and in the public cloud
• Building and maintaining pipelines for testing and shipping infrastructure-as-code
• Improving monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana
• Leveraging AI tooling to speed up how the team builds, scales and resolves incidents
• Troubleshooting and supporting production workloads alongside a team that deploys everything as code

Build and run Kubernetes at serious scale - on-prem and in the public cloud.

We\'re hiring a Platform Engineer for one of the world\'s best-known enterprise software companies, based in the heart of Dublin 2. If you love the GitOps way of working - everything as code, reviewed, and shipped through pipelines - this is your kind of team.

What\'s in it for you:

• Annual Salary up to €96,000 (DOE)


• 11-month contract with the possibility of extension


• PAYE, paid weekly via Principle HR


• Location: Dublin, Hybrid working - 2 days onsite - Monday & Tuesday

What you\'ll need:

• 3+ years running Kubernetes in production (CKA a strong plus)


• 5+ years of deep Linux experience


• Hands-on experience with cloud-native automation and tooling - Flux/Argo, Terraform, Helm


• Software development skills in Golang or Python (custom operators a plus)

A typical day might look like:
