ECS Resource Group is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, deploy and operate cloud-native platform services that enable data, AI workloads and healthcare technology solutions. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes platforms and containerised apps.
  • Experience with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Experience with GitOps and modern CI/CD technologies.
  • Understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and on-call support.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and operate cloud-native platform services for cloud, data, and AI workloads.
  • Design and implement automation and standardised deployment practices using IaC, GitOps, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
  • Establish platform standards for configuration, security, observability, performance and reliability.

  • Monitor and maintain health, security, and performance of platform services.
  • Contribute to operational support processes and participate in on-call rota.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, infrastructure, security and product.

Our client is a leading global organisation operating at the intersection of medical devices, healthcare technology, and healthcare information management. They are seeking a talented Platform Engineer – AI & Multi-Cloud Platforms to help build and operate the cloud platforms that power critical healthcare, data, and AI solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering team focused on delivering secure, scalable, and compliant platforms that enable innovation across healthcare and medical technology environments.

The Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimising cloud-native platform services that support cloud, data, and AI workloads. You'll work closely with engineering teams to provide automation, self-service capabilities, operational excellence, and platform reliability while ensuring security and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and operate cloud-native platform services supporting cloud, data, and AI workloads.
  • Design and implement automation and standardised deployment practices using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes.
  • Establish platform standards for configuration, security, observability, performance, and reliability.
  • Enable engineering teams through self-service tooling, reusable platform services, technical guidance, and best practices.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, security, and performance of platform services.
  • Contribute to operational support processes and participate in an on-call rota supporting business-critical services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, infrastructure, security, and product functions.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar technical role.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes platforms and containerised applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or equivalent.
  • Experience with GitOps methodologies and modern CI/CD technologies.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and operational support of cloud-native platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience supporting multi-cloud environments and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
  • Background working within healthcare technology, healthcare IT, medical devices, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Understanding of healthcare data governance, compliance requirements, security controls, and handling of sensitive patient data.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement mindset.
