Our client is a leading global organisation operating at the intersection of medical devices, healthcare technology, and healthcare information management. They are seeking a talented Platform Engineer – AI & Multi-Cloud Platforms to help build and operate the cloud platforms that power critical healthcare, data, and AI solutions.

The Role
As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimising cloud-native platform services that support cloud, data, and AI workloads. You'll work closely with engineering teams to provide automation, self-service capabilities, operational excellence, and platform reliability while ensuring security and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and operate cloud-native platform services supporting cloud, data, and AI workloads.
- Design and implement automation and standardised deployment practices using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes.
- Establish platform standards for configuration, security, observability, performance, and reliability.
- Enable engineering teams through self-service tooling, reusable platform services, technical guidance, and best practices.
- Monitor and maintain the health, security, and performance of platform services.
- Contribute to operational support processes and participate in an on-call rota supporting business-critical services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, infrastructure, security, and product functions.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar technical role.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes platforms and containerised applications.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or equivalent.
- Experience with GitOps methodologies and modern CI/CD technologies.
- Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and operational support of cloud-native platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience supporting multi-cloud environments and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
- Background working within healthcare technology, healthcare IT, medical devices, or other highly regulated industries.
- Understanding of healthcare data governance, compliance requirements, security controls, and handling of sensitive patient data.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise or mission-critical environments.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement mindset.
