Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of proven Plant Mechanic experience.
• Mechanic certification preferred but not mandatory.
• No minimum academic requirements.
• On-the-job training will be provided as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service machinery and equipment used in plant hire, construction and related civils activities.
• Ensure plant machinery operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and support productivity.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on mixers, conveyors, pumps, crushers, and batching systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns.
• Lubricate machinery, replace worn parts, and ensure all components are in good condition.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and diagnose problems accurately.
• Repair or replace faulty parts to restore full operation promptly.
• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records.
