Our client, Galway Plant and Tool Hire Limited, based in Ballymount, Co. Dublin, is seeking Plant Mechanics for immediate start at their Bluebell Works facility in Dublin 12.

Location

Bluebell Works, Bluebell Lane, Dublin 12, D12 CP29.

Compensation and Hours

Annual remuneration: €36,605.00; Pay rate: €18.05 per hour. Hours: 39 per week.

Eligibility

Non‑EEA nationals must hold a valid employment permit.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-3 years’ experience as a plant mechanic.
• Mechanic certification preferred, not essential.
• No minimum academic requirements.
• On‑the‑job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service machinery and equipment used in quarries and related activities.
• Ensure plant machinery operates efficiently and safely to minimize downtime and support productivity.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on mixers, conveyors, pumps, crushers, and batching systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns.
• Lubricate machinery, replace worn parts, and ensure all components are in good working condition.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and diagnose problems accurately.
• Repair or replace faulty parts to restore machinery to full operational capacity promptly.
• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems knowledge.
