Job summary

Hilton Food Group seeks a Planning Manager to lead on-site planners and material schedulers, ensuring cost-effective and efficient plans. You will work with the demand planner to generate a rolling 52-week capacity outlook and flag opportunities or risks in short-term capacity through daily planning meetings.

The role requires strong Excel skills, English communication, forecasting experience, and proven ability to work with retail customers.

Qualifications

Excellent experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent written and oral communication in English.
Experience in forecasting.
Experience in working with retail customers.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

Review forward plan to understand capacity constraints and cost efficiency.
Create a Sales and Operational template to guide the site forward plan.
Manage seasonal plans to ensure on-time delivery at planned cost.
Oversee on-site logistics resources and address pinch points.
Maintain daily communication with demand planners and schedulers.
Develop and maintain an effective production schedule for cost-efficient planning.
Coordinate with Operations and Logistics to reflect current performance in capacity models.
Attend DRM 3 and Planning meetings daily.
Report site service levels daily and log recovery plans.
Participate in site NPD meetings for upcoming product changes.
Lead 1-1s and development plans with planners and schedulers.
Maintain close relationships with procurement to ensure supply and minimize write-offs.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, Monday- Thursday: 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM, Friday: 8:00-3:30 PM, 39 hours

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a professional and experienced Planning Manager to manage the onsite planners and raw material schedulers to ensure we have the most cost effective and efficient plan. To work closely with the demand planner to generate and manage a rolling 52 week outlook of capacity demands and effectively communicate any opportunities for spare capacity and potential issues when looking short of capacity via a sales and operational planning meeting.

Key responsibilities as a Planning Manager will be to:

To look at the forward plan (short and long term) to understand capacity constraints/opportunities to ensure we are planning in the most efficient and cost effective way
To generate a comprehensive Sales and Operational template to guide the site through the forward plan
To manage seasonal plans using the tools we have to ensure effective delivery at the planned cost
To manage the demand and requirement for the logistics resources on site (NAWI, Manual warehouse) and manage any pinch points
Effective daily communication with demand planner, planners and material schedulers to discuss short, medium and long term horizon
To generate and keep updated an effective production schedule to allow efficient and cost effective planning
Regular communication with Operations and Logistics to ensure the capacity models are reflective of current performance
Attendance at the daily DRM 3 Meeting and Planning Meeting
Reporting Site Service level on a daily basis and annotating to ensure we have clarity around recovery plans
To participate in site NPD meetings to ensure full visibility of any upcoming product changes
To manage the planners and raw material schedulers, ensuring they are having regular 1-1's and personal development plans
To maintain a close relationship with the procurement buyers to ensure we have consistent supply and minimal write off's
