Job summary

Hilton Foods Ireland is looking for a professional Planning Manager to lead the onsite planners and raw material schedulers in Drogheda. You will work closely with the demand planner to manage a rolling 52‑week outlook, optimise capacity and communicate opportunities or issues in a daily Sales and Operations Planning setting.

The role requires strong Excel skills, English communication, and experience in forecasting and retail operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Experience in forecasting and planning.
• Experience in working with retail customers.
• Good organisational and prioritisation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review the forward plan to identify capacity constraints and opportunities for cost-efficient planning.
• Create and maintain a Sales and Operational template to guide the site planning.
• Manage seasonal plans to ensure timely delivery at planned costs.
• Coordinate demand and material scheduling with logistics on site.
• Communicate with demand planners, planners and schedulers daily on horizon planning.
• Develop and maintain an effective production schedule for cost efficiency.
• Engage with Operations and Logistics to reflect current performance in capacity models.
• Attend DRM 3 and Planning meetings as required.
• Report daily Site Service levels and outline recovery plans.
• Support site NPD meetings to align with upcoming product changes.
• Lead and develop planners and material schedulers, including 1-1s and development plans.
• Maintain relationships with procurement to ensure supply and minimize write-offs.
