Coffey is hiring a Planner to support project teams across our Construction Services department. The Planner will develop and maintain robust, logic-linked programmes from tender through to execution, helping teams plan effectively, manage risk and improve project delivery.

Overview
The Planner will work closely with project and bid teams to develop programmes, identify risks and constraints, monitor progress and provide clear planning insight to clients and delivery teams. The Planner will also support capability development by mentoring junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain tender and contract baseline programmes using industry-standard software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Break down project scope into phases, work packages, and critical activities.
- Develop schedule narrative/basis of Schedule phasing diagrams, and resource-loaded programmes.
- Ensure programmes are fully logic-linked with robust critical path and float analysis.
- Proactively identify risks, constraints, and opportunities and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support bid teams with phasing diagrams and client presentations.
- Provide input into project delivery sequencing, resourcing, and mitigation options.
- Monitor compliance with planning standards and company processes.
- Lead or support planning input at contract review and progress meetings.
- Oversee, coordinate with project stakeholders and track the project progress.
- Prepare detailed project progress reports and dashboards.
- Mentor and support junior planners in developing their technical and professional capability.
- Perform Extension of Time (EOT) analysis and prepare claims.
- Assist in claims and dispute resolution by providing programme and methodology evidence.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' planning experience across electromechanical, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and resource planning.
- Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of risk and contract implications.
- Tendering/pre-construction experience is advantageous.
- Full clean Irish/EU driving licence
- Authorised to work in Ireland i.e. stamp 4 or critical skills visa
