About the Role
As a Planner, you will play a central role in the successful planning and monitoring of our construction projects and tenders. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive project schedules, tracking progress, and collaborating with site teams to ensure optimal productivity and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the Tender Programme, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring all elements are fully logic-linked with a clear critical path.
- Provide all necessary Programme Information to support the management team.
- Develop a Tender Programme Narrative to accurately represent the sequence of build, phasing, and logistics.
- Assist in preparing a Construction (Target) Programme, highlighting areas of improvement against the contract programme.
- Engage with the Supply Chain to develop the project programme regarding design, lead‑ins, construction periods, and plant and labour requirements.
- Prepare Risk and Opportunities analyses for the construction programme.
Reporting, Progress & As-Built Information
- Update project and target programmes on a weekly or fortnightly basis by actively gathering information from Project Sites.
- Provide detailed Lookahead Schedules to guide site teams.
- Develop tracking and monitoring schedules to measure the Productivity of various trades working across project sites.
- Assist in the development and application of the Last Planner System for efficient project planning and implementation.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive As-Built Schedules upon project completion.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- A Degree or PG Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Planner across various construction projects or tenders.
- Working knowledge of Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project programming software. Certification for the use of planning and programme software will be an added advantage.
- A successful track record of working collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on live construction projects, demonstrating excellent Teamwork skills.
