Job summary

Jones Engineering seeks a Planner to join our Cork-based team on projects across Cork and Limerick. You will develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring resources and costs are loaded and progress tracked, in collaboration with Project Managers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years post qualification experience, a relevant engineering degree and strong knowledge of Primavera P6. Travel to project locations may be required.

Qualifications

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience (ideally in a M&E contracting environment).
  • Experience in Primavera P6 software required.

Responsibilities

  • Produce construction schedules for client agreement with Project Manager.
  • Fully resource/cost loaded schedule.
  • Maintain construction schedule.
  • Track planned versus actual progress.
  • Capture and log issues affecting progress with the construction team.
  • Attend site meetings (internal and client based).
  • Monitor original versus actual budgets for scope growth/changes.
  • Use internal database project control system.
  • Ensure all progress is captured in updates of the system.
  • Monitor fabrication shops and site installation output.
  • Use database reporting system for circulation of information to project team.
  • Take lead in production/co-ordination in issuing of weekly construction reports.

Job Description
