Job summary

Uniphar Allcare Roches in Gorey is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our busy dispensary in a 24-hour, 3-day Specified Purpose role. You will prepare and dispense medicinal products under supervision, manage stock, and assist with blister packs and claims processing.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome. Experience with McLernons MPS is a plus, and IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS is an advantage.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Allcare Roches store, in Gorey. This is a 24-hour (3-day) Specified Purpose position. The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Managing Pharmacist, 1 Relief, and 2 Technicians. This store has manageable items and services.
