Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join an established engineering company specialising in pharmaceutical process equipment. The role involves traveling to customer sites across Ireland, with occasional UK travel and overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Third-level Engineering qualification or relevant technical discipline, or a trade qualification.
• Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude and interest in hands-on engineering.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout Ireland and occasionally to the UK, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, start-up, commissioning, calibration and validation of equipment and control systems.
• Provide technical support for upgrades, retrofits and breakdowns.
• Support onsite project engineering activities, including installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate with customers, engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
• Support project planning, material procurement and onsite coordination.
