Job summary

Howden Ireland is recruiting for a Personal Lines Account Executive based in Carlow on a permanent, hybrid basis. You will manage policy renewals, retain clients, and identify opportunities to expand the client base.

The role requires strong relationship management, negotiation, and sales skills to optimise portfolios and drive growth. Reporting to the Team Leader and head of existing business, you will ensure compliance, deliver tailored insurance solutions, and work with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years' experience in an insurance role.
• APA Personal Lines or Grandfathered with proof of up-to-date CPD.
• Excellent technical product knowledge and knowledge of personal lines insurance market.
• Proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients, especially renewals and inquiries.
• Proficient in negotiating terms to achieve favorable outcomes for both clients and company.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, fostering loyalty.
• Oversee renewal process for personal lines policies, including terms and renewals.
• Evaluate clients' risk profiles and advise on suitable insurance products.
• Provide exceptional service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure new business/renewal targets are achieved.
• Implement company compliance and renewal procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with market practice and product availability, feeding back to management.
• Collaborate with other teams for training, product development and operational efficiencies.
• Attend client visits with Management as required.
• Adhere to Compliance as outlined in Handbook and Procedures Manual.
