Job summary

Sunbeam House Services in North Wicklow seeks an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) to lead our Day Services team. You will provide leadership, guidance and oversight to ensure person-centred, rights-based supports for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

As a compassionate, confident leader, you will develop staff, promote quality and innovation, build strong partnerships with families and multidisciplinary teams, and drive continuous improvement across the service.

Qualifications

• CORU registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Social Care Worker.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience.
• Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to person-centred, rights-based approaches.

About the Role

As Person in Charge, you will provide leadership, guidance and oversight to a vibrant day service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

You will play a key role in creating an environment where individuals are empowered to achieve their personal goals, develop independence, and participate fully in their communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team while driving quality, innovation, and person-centred practice.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
• Previous experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• A commitment to person-centred, rights-based approaches
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
