Job summary

ARCS Autism and Disability Services is seeking a Person in Charge (PIC) to oversee our residential service in Co. Tipperary. You will be accountable for the overall management of the designated centres and outreach activities.

We require leadership experience in health or social care, a Level 7 qualification, awareness of HIQA regulations, and a full driver's licence. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and working with young people is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Humanities, Healthcare or Social Care.
• Qualification in health or social care management/leadership or commitment to undertake training.
• At least three years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care.
• Understanding of HIQA regulations and inspection processes.
• Full driver’s licence.

About the Role

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 in Humanities, Healthcare or Social Care (e.g. Disability Studies, Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Special Needs Education, Nursing).
• Appropriate qualification in health or social care management/leadership, or a commitment to undertake further training.
• At least three years of experience in a management or supervisory role in health or social care.
• Understanding of HIQA regulations and inspection processes.
• Full driver’s licence.

Desirable

• Interest in working with young people who have trauma or attachment difficulties.
• Knowledge of CPI and trauma‑informed care.
• Experience working with young people with Autism.
