Job Description
Provide proactive HR support to the business across a broad range of people-related matters, including recruitment, attendance and health management, grievance, disciplinary, and capability processes. Coach and support managers and employees in the effective application of performance management processes, driving accountability and continuous improvement. Manage employee relations matters, delivering expert advice and guidance to managers while ensuring cases are handled efficiently and consistently. Deliver accurate and timely HR data, insights, and reporting to the Head of HR and HR Director to support workforce planning and informed decision-making. Develop and implement HR initiatives that align with organisational goals and contribute to business success. Oversee general administration, including office management and the coordination of company activities and events. Develop, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring the employee handbook remains current and compliant. Provide recommendations on case outcomes and corrective actions, balancing business needs with fairness and compliance. Demonstrate and champion company values by fostering a culture of challenge, urgency, openness, and continuous improvement.
Must be highly efficient, results focused and with a keen attention to detail Approx 3 years experience in a similar HR role, preferably in a FMCG, Retail, Production or Manufacturing environment. Highly organised and detail oriented. Must have highly excellent HR administration and people management skills. Possess the ability to drive positive engagement from a diverse and widespread workforce. Strong communications and engagement acumen. Problem solver with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced changing environment. Experience managing complex employee relations cases required with an excellent understanding of the practical implications of employment legislation. Strong skills as a negotiator in order to resolve conflicts within the workplace. Sound organisation and time management skills.
