Job summary

Excel Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage UK and ROI payroll processes within a growing international organisation. The role covers weekly and monthly payrolls, data validation, and compliance across jurisdictions.

You will input and reconcile payroll data, handle salaries, bonuses, and deductions, and support audits. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

  • IPASS, CIPP or equivalent payroll qualification.
  • Experience processing UK and ROI payrolls.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls for employees across the UK and ROI.
  • Support the end-to-end payroll cycle ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Input, validate, reconcile, and maintain payroll data.
  • Process salaries, overtime, bonuses, statutory payments, and deductions.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and payment file preparation.
  • Administer pension contributions and employee benefits.
  • Respond to payroll and benefits-related employee queries.
  • Maintain payroll records and employee data within payroll systems.
  • Support payroll audits and internal compliance checks.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, GDPR, and company policies.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and wider business teams to resolve payroll matters.
  • Contribute to payroll process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support colleagues and share payroll knowledge within the team.

  • Knowledge of additional European payrolls would be advantageous
