Job summary

Sanderson, partnering with a leading construction and engineering group, invites a Payroll Specialist to join a busy payroll team supporting employees across Ireland and the UK. The role focuses on accurate and timely payroll processing in a hybrid Dublin setting.

You should hold a payroll qualification such as IPASS or CIPP and have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls for employees across Ireland and the UK.
  • Support the end to end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Input, validate and reconcile payroll data.
  • Perform manual payroll calculations where required.
  • Process salaries, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and payment file preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and Irish payroll legislation, statutory obligations and pension requirements.
  • Process pension contributions and statutory deductions.

Job description

Sanderson are partnering with a leading construction and engineering group to recruit for a Payroll Specialist, to join a busy payroll team supporting employees across Ireland and the UK. This position has a hybrid working model in Dublin.

This role will focus on the accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation while delivering a high standard of service to employees and key stakeholders. The position would suit a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong attention to detail.

Knowledge of both UK and Irish payrolls is essential. Experience supporting additional European payrolls would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls for employees across Ireland and the UK.
  • Support the end to end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Input, validate and reconcile payroll data.
  • Perform manual payroll calculations where required.
  • Process salaries, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and payment file preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and Irish payroll legislation, statutory obligations and pension requirements.
Benefits Administration
  • Process pension contributions and statutory deductions.
  • Administer employee benefits in line with company policies.
  • Respond to payroll and benefits related queries.
  • Escalate complex issues where appropriate.
Systems and Payroll Administration
  • Manage employee data within payroll systems.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Support payroll system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure payroll systems are operating effectively.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience processing Irish payrolls and UK Payroll
  • A payroll qualification such as IPASS or CIPP.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with payroll systems and payroll reporting.
  • Knowledge of additional European payrolls would be advantageous.
