Job summary

Lex Consultancy Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage UK and ROI payrolls within a well-established international organisation. You will oversee weekly and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for employees and internal stakeholders.

The role requires in-house payroll experience in UK/ROI, strong Excel and data handling skills, and knowledge of payroll legislation. IPASS/CIPP desirable; Coins experience advantageous; effective collaboration with HR and

Qualifications

  • In-house payroll experience in UK/ROI environments.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of UK and/or ROI payroll legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong Excel and systems skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Payroll qualifications such as IPASS or CIPP desirable.
  • Coins payroll system experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Process UK and ROI payrolls, supporting the full payroll cycle.
  • Input, validate and reconcile payroll data.
  • Process salaries, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments.
  • Complete manual payroll calculations where required.
  • Support payroll reporting and payment file preparation.
  • Process pension contributions and employee benefits.
  • Respond to payroll and benefits-related queries.
  • Maintain accurate employee and payroll records.
  • Assist with payroll audits and compliance checks.
  • Ensure GDPR and data protection compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance and Payroll teams.
  • Support payroll system updates and process improvements.
  • Contribute to improving payroll processes and efficiencies.
  • Provide knowledge sharing to colleagues as needed.

Job description

Payroll Specialist – UK & ROI

Our client, a well-established international organisation, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong UK and/or ROI payroll experience to join their team.

The successful candidate will support the accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and providing a high-quality service to employees and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process UK and ROI payrolls, supporting the full payroll cycle
  • Input, validate and reconcile payroll data
  • Process salaries, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments
  • Complete manual payroll calculations where required
  • Support payroll reporting and payment file preparation
  • Process pension contributions, statutory deductions and employee benefits
  • Respond to payroll and benefits-related queries
  • Maintain accurate employee and payroll records
  • Assist with payroll audits and compliance checks
  • Ensure GDPR and data protection requirements are met
  • Work closely with HR, Finance and Payroll teams
  • Support payroll system updates and process improvements
  • Contribute to improving payroll processes and efficiencies
  • Provide support and knowledge sharing to colleagues where required
Key Requirements
  • Proven in-house payroll experience within a UK and/or ROI environment
  • Experience supporting end-to-end payroll processing
  • Good knowledge of UK and/or ROI payroll legislation
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
  • Strong Excel and general systems skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Payroll qualification such as IPASS or CIPP desirable
  • Experience with Coins payroll system desirable
  • Additional European payroll experience would be advantageous
  • Proficient spoken and written English
