Job summary

CPL in Limerick is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join the Finance Team in Ireland. You will oversee all payroll activities and lead the expansion of payroll systems, processes, and guidelines.

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage payrolls for Ireland and the UK while mentoring staff and driving process improvements. This permanent onsite role in Limerick offers a base salary in the €70K-€80K range plus benefits.

Qualifications

• IPASS payroll qualification is required.
• Extensive knowledge of Irish payroll and HR policies.
• Exposure to UK payroll would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and processing of multi-frequency payrolls under deadlines.
• Oversee weekly and monthly payrolls for Ireland and UK.
• Upload bank files for employee pay as necessary.
• Implement controls to verify accuracy of payrolls.
• Collaborate with HR, IT and Finance to build an integrated payroll platform.
• Support and mentor payroll staff.
• Collaborate with HR on comps & bens administration.
• Administer payments of employee expenses.
• Ensure accurate reporting for Revenue & HMRC commitments.
• Produce information for audit purposes.

Are you an experienced Payroll Manager who is now looking for a new challenge? Our client, a major player in the green energy and clean tech sector, are now undergoing a period of significant expansion. As a result, they have now engaged exclusively with us in Cpl to recruit a talented, energetic, and ambitious Payroll Manager to join the Finance Team in Limerick.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, the successful hire will oversee all aspects of the company's payroll function & be a key part of the operations management team in Ireland. You will also be focused on the expansion of payroll systems, processes, and guidelines, and the leadership of your team.

Responsibilities to include

• Manage the preparation and processing of multi-frequency payrolls under critical deadlines.
• Oversee all aspects of both weekly and monthly payrolls for Ireland and UK.
• Upload bank files for employee pay as necessary.
• Implement appropriate controls to verify accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR, IT and Finance to implement and build out a fully integrated payroll platform.
• Support and mentor payroll staff
• Collaborate with HR on the administration of and amendments to comps & bens schemes
• Administer all payments of employee expenses.
• Ensure accurate reporting in relation to all Revenue & HMRC commitments.
• Produce and analyse information to support audit purposes.

Skills & Experience that we need

• IPASS payroll or relevant qualification
• 6 + years’ payroll experience ideally gained in a large corporate environment.
• Must have extensive knowledge of HR policies and Irish Payroll. Exposure to UK payroll would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisational and administrative skills

The Offer

This is a permanent onsite role based in Limerick city, with base salary, depending on the candidate’s experience, but is expected to be in the €70K - €80K plus benefits.
