Job summary

Kerry-based construction company is seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Payable Administrator to join its finance team in Killarney, County Kerry. The role splits focus: payroll for permanent and contract staff (60%) and supporting accounts payable (40%).

This permanent position is office-based in Kerry. Key duties include processing payroll weekly/monthly, handling timesheets and deductions, ensuring compliance with Revenue, and managing supplier invoices and month-end tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll and accounts payable administration.
  • Accounting Technician qualification or relevant payroll certification is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good understanding of Revenue and payroll compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payroll for permanent and contract employees.
  • Manage timesheets, overtime, allowances, deductions, pensions and statutory payments.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with Revenue and employment legislation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records.
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits.
  • Process supplier invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Prepare payment runs and maintain accurate creditor records.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier queries.
  • Support general finance and month-end activities as required.

Our Kerry-based client, a busy and established construction company, is seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Payable Administrator to join their finance team. This role will have responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for permanent and contract employees (60% of time) while also supporting the finance function through efficient management of accounts payable (40% of time) This is a permanent position, in office in Killarney, County Kerry

Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly and monthly payroll for permanent and contract employees.
  • Manage timesheets, overtime, allowances, deductions, pensions and statutory payments.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with Revenue and employment legislation.
