Job summary

Red Chair Recruitment is assisting a Kerry-based construction company to hire a Payroll and Accounts Payable Administrator. The role manages payroll for both contract and permanent staff and supports the finance function with timely accounts payable activities.

Applicants should have 2+ years' payroll and AP experience, a relevant payroll certification or accounting technician qualification, and strong Excel skills. Construction sector knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in payroll and accounts payable administration.
• Accounting technician qualification or relevant payroll certification.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience within the construction or engineering industry is a significant advantage.
• Understanding of Revenue, payroll compliance, and employment legislation.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payroll for permanent employees and contract staff.
• Manage timesheets, overtime, allowances, deductions, pensions, and statutory payments.
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits where required.
• Ensure compliance with construction sector payroll requirements and subcontractor administration where applicable.
