Job summary

A leading provider of civil engineering and construction services in Cork is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a 4-day working week. The role includes managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with Irish payroll legislation, and supporting a collaborative team environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in payroll, preferably in the construction sector, and hold or be pursuing an IPASS qualification. This position offers a competitive salary between €35k–€40k, along with benefits such as a performance bonus and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll role, preferably within the construction or engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and Revenue processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple payrolls and deadlines in a busy environment.

Overview

Our client, a leading provider of civil engineering and construction services, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team on a 4-day working week. Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly payrolls.
  • Ensure compliance with all Irish payroll legislation and Revenue (PAYE Modernisation) requirements.
  • Prepare payroll reports and issue payslips for staff.
  • Submit payroll returns to Revenue via ROS.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
  • Support payroll audits and inspections as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll role, preferably within the construction or engineering sector. (Not essential)
  • IPASS qualification (or in progress) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and Revenue processes.
  • Proficient in payroll software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple payrolls and deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
