Job summary

Accountancy Solutions is recruiting a Payroll Specialist on an 18‑month contract in Ireland. The role offers the flexibility to work remotely up to four days per week, with the team based in the City Centre.

The successful candidate will manage the full payroll process for multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions, and supporting payroll system upgrades. Join a friendly, quality‑driven team and develop payroll knowledge and experience.

Qualifications

  • IPASS qualified or working towards.
  • At least 2 years' payroll experience.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of Irish payroll processing.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills – fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly and monthly payroll for multiple payrolls.
  • Review and confirm payroll submissions.
  • Process payroll journals and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain relationships internally and externally.
  • Support projects to upgrade payroll system.
  • Bank account management and reconciliations.
  • Provide payslips and monthly reports.
  • Process starters and leavers; handle queries.

Job description

Our client are a leading provider of healthcare services, they have an 18 month contract for a payroll specialist within their team. They are based in the City Centre offering real flexibility with the incumbent being able to work remotely for up to 4 days per week.

The role will be responsible for the full payroll process for multiple payrolls internally. Duties will include:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly payroll
  • Review and confirm payroll submissions
  • Process payroll journals and statutory requirements
  • Maintaining and developing relationships internally and externally
  • Support on project to upgrades to payroll system
  • Bank account management
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Providing payslips
  • Producing monthly reports as requested
  • Processing starters and leavers
  • Dealing with queries
  • Adherence to deadlines in the processing and submission of all statutory returns
  • Participate in payroll process improvement projects, efficiencies, automation and systems enhancements
  • Payroll reconciliations and comparison reports
  • Other ad-hoc payroll related duties as required

The ideal candidate:

  • Ideally IPASS qualified or working towards
  • At least 2 years' payroll experience
  • Ability and track record of working to tight deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of Irish payroll processing
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – fully fluent written and spoken English essential
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take ownership of your role
