Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Pavement Design Engineer for Dublin or Dundalk to work on road, asset management, public transport and active travel projects in Ireland. The role involves design input, contract documentation, procurement, and construction supervision within a collaborative team.

Candidates should have a degree in engineering, experience in transportation schemes ( Ireland preferred), and familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D. Chartered status is a goal.

Qualifications

• Relevant consultancy experience in transport
• Degree in engineering (Level 8/9) or equivalent
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status
• Knowledge of pavement standards and Irish design procedures
• Experience in planning and design of transportation schemes in Ireland

Responsibilities

• Plan and design road, asset management, public transport and active travel projects across Ireland
• Develop design inputs, procurement documents, contract documents and construction supervision
• Provide design input to Key Clients for sections of the National Road Network
• Oversee production of designs and reports
• Translate Irish pavement standards into buildable, value-for-money designs
