Job summary

Beacon Hospital in Dublin is seeking a Patient Set Down Area Executive to join our Main Reception / Patient Services team. You will welcome patients, visitors and drivers, provide directions and practical assistance while ensuring a warm, professional first impression.

You will monitor the set-down area, guide vehicles and pedestrians, and work with Security, Facilities and clinical teams to maintain safety and efficiency. A friendly, customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing, reception, hospitality, security, transport, healthcare or public-service environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and visitors in a warm, courteous and professional manner.
• Providing clear directions to Main Reception and other hospital entry points.
• Offering practical assistance while respecting privacy and dignity.
• Supporting vulnerable or distressed patients with patience and empathy.
• Monitoring the set-down area to ensure it remains available for short-duration drops.
• Helping movement of vehicles and pedestrians safely and efficiently.
• Identifying congestion, hazards or misuse of accessible spaces and escalating appropriately.
• Carrying out routine area checks and reporting safety or maintenance issues.
• Collaborating with Reception, Security, Facilities and clinical teams as needed.
• Providing basic wayfinding information and directing more detailed enquiries to the right service.
