Job summary

Corlann is seeking a permanent part-time Support Worker to join Strokestown Adult Services. The role focuses on supporting individuals with daily living, promoting independence, and delivering person-centred care within residential and community settings.

Candidates should have a good education, QQI Level 5 preferred, and a valid manual driving licence. English proficiency and IT skills are essential; a panel may form for future vacancies and some weekend work is possible.

Qualifications

• Good general education is required.
• Qualification in intellectual disability field or QQI Level 5 is advantageous.
• A full clean manual driving licence is essential (Class D1 may be required).
• Experience with intellectual disability/autism/complex needs is desirable; induction/training provided.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) and IT skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support people in all aspects of daily living and promote independence.
• Assist with meals, household tasks, personal care and wellbeing.
• Work within residential/respite/day settings or community services as required.
• Adapt to flexible, rostered hours including weekends, holidays and sleep-ins.
