Job summary

Hodson Bay Group, operating the Sheraton Athlone Hotel in Athlone, Ireland, is seeking a reliable Part-Time Night Porter to join the Night Team. The role covers overnight hours from 23:00 to 07:00, primarily Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with occasional Sunday/Thursday nights.

You will maintain the hotel’s public areas, meeting spaces and back-of-house areas, ensuring safety, cleanliness and guest service during overnight shifts. Training and Marriott-brand benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, cleaning or facilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public areas, guest floors, meeting rooms, lounges, bars and function spaces.
• Carry out nightly cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, sanitising, waste removal and general housekeeping tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest corridors and public areas.
• Ensure all fire exits and emergency routes remain clear and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist with setup, upkeep and presentation of conference and event spaces.
• Support the Night Manager with operational and guest service requirements as needed.
• Complete scheduled weekly deep-cleaning and floor maintenance tasks.
• Maintain outdoor guest areas and rooftop garden spaces during seasonal periods.
