Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association in Donegal is seeking committed Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) to join our growing team. The roles are part-time (20 hours per week) in Donegal Town & Killybegs, with weekend work being essential and travel to members' homes part of daily activity.

The role aims to enable members to achieve maximum independence by supporting personal care, domestic tasks, social and educational activities, and companionship in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• QQI level 5 (Major Award) in Healthcare Support or similar qualification in Social Care is essential
• Full clean drivers' licence is essential
• Use of your own smart phone to check in and out of your visits is essential

Responsibilities

• Assist members with daily living activities including personal care and domestic tasks
• Provide social, educational and travel companionship as part of planned supports
• Deliver services in the homes and communities of members, coordinating with the Assisted Living Service Coordinator
