Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association in Midleton, East Cork, is seeking committed Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) for a part-time, 20 hours/week, 1-year fixed-term contract. The role supports members to achieve independence at home and in the community, across personal care, domestic, social and travel tasks.

Responsibilities include liaising with Home carers and scheduling staff, while demonstrating person-centred care and strong confidentiality.

Qualifications

• QQI level 5 (Major Award) Care Support or similar qualification in Social Care is essential.
• Full clean drivers' licence is essential.
• Use of your own smart phone to check in and out of your visits is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with personal care and daily living activities.
• Provide domestic, social and educational assistance, travel and companionship.
• Work in the homes and communities of our members.
• Liaise and coordinate with other Home carers and with the ALS Coordinator / Scheduling staff.
