Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an Orthopaedic Clinical Support Specialist to provide hands-on clinical and technical support in the operating theatre across Ireland. You will educate surgeons and clinical teams on hip and knee implant products, maintain certifications, and support ongoing CPD while delivering exceptional account service.

In this role you will build strong relationships with hospital staff, coordinate with Territory Managers, and manage daily schedules, stock, and tender

Qualifications

• A relevant clinical qualification with hands-on clinical experience (hip/knee implants preferred).
• Experience with orthopaedic navigation, robotics, or digital enabling technologies.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced operating room environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive attitude towards business development and supporting sales growth.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Full, clean driving license; travel required.

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Orthopaedic Clinical Support Specialist to join an industry-leading, award-winning medical and surgical distribution company. In this pivotal role, you will focus on supporting and expanding a premier Joints portfolio (Hips & Knees). Working alongside Territory Sales Managers and key hospital decision-makers, you will provide vital clinical assistance in the operating theatre, educate clinical staff, and ensure exceptional service delivery to accounts throughout the South of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Theatre Support

• Provide expert hands-on clinical and technical support during surgical procedures in the operating theatre.
• Educate, train, and support surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams on product usage and best practices.
• Maintain complete certification requirements (e.g., product/brand accreditations) and ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Utilize and support advanced surgical technologies, including navigation, robotics, and digital enabling tools.

Customer Relationship Management & Support

• Build deep, trust-based relationships with Key Decision Makers (KDMs) and clinical staff across accounts.
• Understand formal and informal hospital power structures to effectively influence product adoption and customer satisfaction.
• Provide reliable, customer-obsessed support that delivers dependable solutions and seamless account service.
• Monitor competitor activity and stay updated on emerging industry trends and digital technology advances.

Operations & Territory Management

• Manage daily schedules and administrative tasks efficiently to align with surgeon timetables and team goals.
• Assist with stock management, budget awareness, and the submission of tendering documentation as required.
• Maintain flexibility to cover other geographic regions across Ireland as operational demands require.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• A relevant clinical qualification with hands-on clinical experience is required (experience in orthopaedic hip and knee implants preferred).
• Aptitude or experience working with orthopaedic navigation, robotic, or digital enabling technologies.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced operating room (OR) environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build immediate trust and rapport.
• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• A proactive attitude toward business development and supporting sales growth is a distinct advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• A full, clean driving license (travel required).
