Job summary

BWG Foods Ltd is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Value Centre Cork on a permanent full-time basis. The role focuses on effective management, planning and coordination of warehouse operations in Cork.

Reporting to the Value Centre Operations Manager, you will supervise daily activities, ensure staff training, monitor performance, uphold health and safety, security, GDP for medicinal procedures, hygiene, stock availability and shift handovers.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a warehouse/retail team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong leadership with the ability to supervise, lead and motivate a team.
• Proficient IT skills.
• Experience with Food Safety, HACCP training. Ensuring compliance with hygiene and quality regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities to ensure all targets are achieved by employees.
• Ensure skills mix within the warehouse and all employees are trained to achieve objectives.
• Ensure all equipment maintained and available for shift activities and to meet customer requirements.
• Manage workflow in the warehouse to ensure objectives are achieved and to meet operational demands and customer requirements.
• To monitor and manage the performance of those within area of control.
• Supervise health & safety in the warehouse and ensure operations are compliant with the appropriate risk assessments.
• Ensure security policies are always complied with.
• To ensure Good Distribution Practice for medicinal procedures on shift are observed.
• Ensure the warehouse hygiene is maintained.
• Ensure stock availability to meet customer demands and needs.
• To ensure an orderly handover at the end of shift.
• To ensure replenishment of items throughout shift and in preparation for next day pick.
• To ensure Procedures relating to stock protection and minimising shrinkage are followed at all times.

Applications are invited for the position of Operations Supervisor on a Permanent Full time basis. The focus of this role will be to assist with the effective management, planning and coordination of the operation in our Value Centre Cork branch.

Reporting to the Value Centre Operations Manager, key responsibilities for this role are as follows:

The ideal candidate will possess some of the following skills:

• Previous experience in a warehouse/retail supervisory role
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, lead and motivate a team
• Must have excellent I.T Skills
• Experience with Food Safety, HACCP training. Ensuring compliance with hygiene and quality regulations.
