Syntech Recruitment Ltd is working with a leading mechanical services contractor to recruit an Operations Manager for our Dublin, Ireland client. The role reports to the Project Directors and oversees the projects team and day-to-day workforce across live schemes, with a permanent, office-based setup.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in HVAC/mechanical services, strong project planning, proven leadership, and autonomy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in HVAC/mechanical services.
• Strong project planning and management background.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to operate autonomously with authority.

Responsibilities

• Weekly labour control and management across live projects.
• Supporting payroll with timesheet queries.
• Collaborating with the Apprentice Skills Manager on apprentice development.
• Primary point of contact for site staff.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives with the Project Directors.
• Maintaining ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 processes and procedures.

About the Company

Established almost three decades ago, our client is a mechanical services contractor delivering full design-and-build HVAC and mechanical installations across Ireland and internationally, from concept through to commissioning.

The Role

A senior operational position reporting into the Project Directors, responsible for running the projects team and day-to-day workforce management across live schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Weekly labour control and management across live projects
• Supporting payroll with timesheet queries
• Collaborating with the Apprentice Skills Manager on apprentice development
• Primary point of contact for site staff
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives alongside Project Directors
• Maintaining processes and procedures in line with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in the HVAC / mechanical services industry (essential)
• Strong project planning and management background
• Proven leader and communicator able to motivate teams and meet deadlines
• Ability to operate autonomously with authority
• Proficient across MS Office
