Job summary

Elk Recruitment in Dublin is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead mechanical building services projects from inception through to completion. You will manage programmes, budgets and teams while maintaining client relationships on landmark commercial, pharmaceutical and data centre schemes.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mechanical contracting, strong contract administration skills and a solid understanding of H&S and quality control.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within mechanical contracting or building services.
  • Experience delivering large-scale commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial or data centre projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services.
  • Excellent project planning, financial and commercial management skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration and project controls.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong focus on health, safety and quality.
  • Relevant engineering qualification or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
  • Develop and monitor programmes, budgets and resource plans.
  • Lead project teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality project delivery.
  • Manage client relationships and attend regular project meetings.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, commercial and site teams.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts and financial performance.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards and health and safety requirements.
  • Manage subcontractors and supplier performance.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management.
  • Support commissioning, testing and final project handover.
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice across project delivery.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of complex mechanical projects from inception through to completion.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the delivery of mechanical services projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, you will drive project performance while maintaining exceptional client relationships.

You are an organised and commercially aware project professional with a proven track record of successfully delivering mechanical building services projects.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within mechanical contracting or building services.
  • Experience delivering large-scale commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial or data centre projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services.
  • Excellent project planning, financial and commercial management skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration and project controls.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong focus on health, safety and quality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
